Alona Gibson (she/her) passionately champions the seamless connection between the body and mind, devoted to guiding individuals back to their bodies through natural, somatic therapies. Her transformative journey commenced in a Flagstaff, AZ hot yoga studio, where she delved into the intricate relationship between her body and mind, witnessing positive impacts reverberate across various aspects of life.

In 2018, Alona earned her 200-hour yoga teacher training certificate in Vinyasa Yoga, laying the foundation for subsequent certifications in Yoga Nidra, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Trauma-Informed Yoga. Her classes prioritize inclusivity, fostering a space where every body can revel in the joy of feeling genuinely good. Alona's teaching ventures extend to institutions such as Arizona State University, MonOrchid Art Gallery, and various Phoenix studios. Notably, she, alongside Lourdes Silva, spearheaded Arizona's inaugural Yoga Teacher Training program in Spanish. She also initiated programs for Yoga in American Sign Language, LGBTQ+ communities, and those with different abilities, catering to neurodivergencies and enhancing yoga accessibility across diverse populations.

In 2021, Alona earned her Bachelor's degree in Nutrition Sciences from Arizona State University. Her nutrition approach, rooted in non-restrictive principles and inspired by Ayurvedic practices, centers on the belief that eating should be pleasurable and nourishing to the body. Alona's nutrition practice brings joy as she introduces clients to Ayurvedic philosophy, making nutrition an approachable and exciting component of daily life.

Early in 2023, Alona achieved certification in Fascial Stretch Therapy from the Stretch to Win Institute. This specialized certification empowers Alona to witness bodies heal, release trauma, and rediscover a sense of home through this unique limb of bodywork.

Simultaneously, Alona is in the process of pursuing a Masters in Yogic Studies, and certification in Yogis Philosophy from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. This ongoing educational journey aligns with her commitment to deepening her understanding of the profound intersections between yoga, philosophy, and holistic well-being.
